Exam Results

New Barn School secondary students work very hard to achieve their personal goals for exam success.

We strive to offer a range of exams during the students’ time at school and our high expectations for them to achieve, drive the students to do well.  New Barn students sit exams at GCSE level in Science, Maths and English. As an alternative to GCSE Maths and English, Functional Skills at Entry Levels 1, 2, 3, and Levels 1 and 2 are also offered. Our optional subjects at present are GCSE History, Geography, Art, PE and Citizenship, along with BTEC Home cooking skills at Levels 1 and 2. 

On entry into Post 16, a range of qualifications are offered and adapted to the needs of the students, such as BTEC Vocational studies, GCSE English, Maths, Science and ICT. 

New Barn Students consistently achieve in their chosen and compulsory subjects.
