Nurture
The nurture group has been set up at New Barn School to provide a calm environment to enable pupils to build the basic foundation that they need to access education in the main school.
It has been designed to focus on core literacy and numeracy skills so that all pupils can make progress. Most sessions have the same base and teacher enabling them to build confidence prior to starting their transition to different subject areas in the main school. Pupils will be encouraged to follow their own subjects and interests and will do vocational activities through an ASDAN course.
