Science
Science is a fundamental part of our everyday lives.
It helps to explain so much of the physical and natural world around us through exploration, observation, and experimentation.
The Science curriculum at New Barn School helps pupils to understand what things are made out of, and how objects, animals, and human beings behave. Learning about science enables advances in many areas including exploration and understanding where we live in the universe, and how we fit in, our environment and how to protect and improve it, health and medicine, communication and technology, and leisure.
The Science curriculum plays an essential role in preparing our pupils for life in the wider community and in preparing our pupils to participate meaningfully in society.
