Support Worker

We are at an exciting stage in our development and we are looking to expand our residential childcare team in New Barn School, Horsham. Our homes are set in the beautiful West Sussex countryside and all our young people attend New Barn School. We offer a range of shift patterns and are committed to providing full training and support. We provide specialist educational, residential and therapeutic care for children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and associated difficulties. We create a friendly and caring environment, promote independent living skills and provide opportunities for a full and enriched waking curriculum.

We are looking for staff across a range of shift patterns who have a passion to work with our children and young people and who will prioritise their safety and well-being. The successful candidates will be able to participate in planning effective routines, monitoring health and welfare, undertaking domestic duties and most importantly providing a safe, warm and supportive environment for our young people. Ideally, you should have experience and knowledge of working with children and young people and be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills, be reliable, well organised and able to work to high professional standards. If you have experience of working with children and young people with ASC and/or a level 3 Diploma for the Children’s and Young People’s Workforce we would especially like to hear from you.
